Earlier this month, Isuzu Motors India has teased that the D-Max V-Cross will be released first in the Thai market. The brand has posted images of this upcoming new product on its website and social media. The pickup has been spotted testing on the road several times during this recent period. Specific information on the Isuzu D-Max V-Cross is expected to be released on the official social media platforms later this month. Ahead of the release, the company has once again shed light on the bs6 emissions-compliant Isuzu D-Max V-Cross.

Isuzu D-Max V-Cross

Let’s take a look at the specifications of the BS6 version of the Isuzu D-Max V-Cross. The Isuzu D-Max V-Cross is expected to enter the Thai market next month. The new model measures 5,295 mm in length, 1,860 mm in width, 1,840 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 3,095 mm. In addition, the two-wheel-drive variant has a curb weight of 1,890 kg, while the four-wheel-drive variant weighs 1,990 kg. Both variants have dual LED projector headlights, LED DLS, roof rails, black b-pillars, and side steps. The 4x4 variant also has unique fog lamps with chrome accents. The upcoming D-Max V-Cross is available in seven colors — Cosmic Black, Flying Flower White, Titanium Silver, Ridge Red, Sapphire Blue, and galena gray. There are more colors to choose from than in the previous model.

In the interior, both models will feature keyless entry, a touchscreen infotainment head unit, automatic climate control, automatic down power windows, rear parking sensors, and a camera. The costlier 4x4 also comes with cruise control, power-adjustable driver’s seat, anti-pinch function power windows, and an 8-speaker sound system. The other variants have only a 6-speaker setup. So if you value the interior trim, you can opt for the higher-equipped 4x4 model.

When it comes to the Isuzu D-Max V-Cross, it’s important to mention its powertrain. The Isuzu D-Max V-Cross will be powered by a 1.9-liter 4-cylinder common-rail diesel engine and a variable geometry turbocharger. This engine produces 161 hp and 360Nm of peak torque. The SUV will also be equipped with automatic transmission for both two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive Z Prestige. The two-wheel-drive version comes with a six-speed automatic transmission, but the four-wheel-drive version also has a mobility system. Finally, according to plans, the Japanese automaker hopes to launch the BS6 D-Max V-Cross in the Thai market by the end of this month. Once launched, the Isuzu D-Max V-Cross will be the only pickup SUV available to private buyers in the Thai market, meaning it has no direct competition.

But, on the other hand, off-road sport is not really an adventure sport that Thais are familiar with. There are indeed soft corners for SUVs in Thailand, but only a small percentage of customers who buy them can actually use them. Off-road vehicles are usually purchased in India because their aggressive look and road presence fits well with Indian preferences. We now have several groups of Isuzu V-Cross 4x4 ราคา owners who arrange off-road trips in several parts of the country. Here, the off-road capability of SUVs is displayed to the fullest, such as the Ford Endeavor, Toyota Fortuner, and Isuzu V-Cross. In a word, the Isuzu D-Max V-Cross needs to step up its game to gain a foothold in the Thai market.
